Touching maths

Education and Culture Lifelong learning programme Comenius

Touching maths (ToMat) is a Comenius school partnership which started in September 2010. The topic is maths education for braille users integrated in mainstream secondary schools. For 2 years, the 6 project partners visited each other's schools and institutions to learn more about how braille pupils do maths in different places. Through this website we want to share our findings, tips, tricks and advice with you. Whether you are a braille pupil, a mainstream maths teacher, an itinerant teacher or a producer of relief drawings, be welcome!

The 6 project partners are:
Huseby Kompetansesenter, Oslo, Norway
Royal Dutch Visio, Rotterdam, the Netherlands
INJA, Paris, France
Tartu Emajõe School, Tartu, Estonia
